Open Enrollment
Courses
|
Many of UCSB’s regular session undergraduate and selected graduate
courses are available to Open Enrollment students. Open Enrollment is offered
on a space-available basis; all regularly enrolled UCSB matriculated students
must be accommodated before Open Enrollment students will be admitted.
Permission from the professor is required for all courses. Certain courses
require additional permission from a teaching assistant and/or the department
chair. Admittance to UCSB regular session courses, discussion sections, or
labs is not guaranteed, and the professor’s (or Department Chair’s)
decision is final.
Class attendance, participation in discussion sections, completion of assignments
and exams, grading options, and deadlines are the same for Open Enrollment
students as for matriculated students. Open Enrollment students are responsible
for meeting all course prerequisites listed in the UCSB General Catalog and
should be prepared to provide evidence to the professor or department that
prerequisites have been satisfied.
Open Enrollment is available through UCSB Extension during three academic
quarters: fall, winter, and spring. If you are interested in attending summer
classes, please contact the Summer Sessions office at UCSB: (805) 893-2315
(http://www.summer.ucsb.edu/). |
